The goal of Turtle Rescue of Long Island is to provide reliable, up to date information on the care of turtles and tortoises as well as provide a haven for those in need.

A huge selection of pet reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and pet reptile supplies will be on display and for sale to the public.

Turtles have been on the earth for more than 200 million years. They evolved before mammals, birds, crocodiles, snakes, and even lizards. Learn more about these fascinating creatures, and their feeding, basic care, and common health problems.

Amphibians include frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, and caecilians. They are cold-blooded vertebrates, and usually scaleless. Amphibians are animals which spend part of their life in aquatic (water) and a different part of their life cycle in terrestrial (land) environments. They usually start out their lives in water, and then move onto land as they mature, though, as adults, they may breed and spend a large amount of time in the water.
