Habitat: Arctic ice sheet, coastlines, and tundra

Food: seals,walruses, and beached whales

Length:  6.6 to 10 feet

Weight:  males - 660 to 1760 pounds

               females - 330 to 660 pounds

Animal class: mammal

Scientific name: Ursus maritimus
